ORDERING & DELIVERY

Placing an order is very easy: Go to the product of your choice.
Click on the large "add to cart" button. When your order is in the shopping cart, click on the shopping cart icon at the top right.

Check your order and click the "checkout" button. You can now enter your details and delivery address. Now click "continue shipping" and in the next screen click "go to payment". Now choose your desired payment method. If the billing address is different from the delivery address you can indicate this here. At the end of the "payment" step, when you confirm your purchase, your order is final.

Making changes is still possible before the order is paid for and confirmed. You will receive an order confirmation by e-mail when the order has been successfully placed.

During the ordering process, first enter your delivery address. At the "payment" step, you can enter a different billing address, if applicable.

Regular orders within the Netherlands (excluding the Wadden Islands) are delivered free of charge. Shipping costs for the Wadden Islands are not automatically calculated during the ordering process but will be billed afterwards. We also deliver, against payment, in other countries where the shipping costs are billed afterwards. Would you like to make use of this and know the costs in advance? Please send an email to info@bubalou.com with the delivery address so we can calculate the costs for you.

Yes, it is also possible to pick up your order at our warehouse in Alkmaar, in the Netherlands. Please mention this in the field "add order note" during the ordering process. We will then contact you to arrange a pickup time.

If you wish to change or cancel your order before shipment, we advise you to contact us by phone. We can be reached at + 31 (0)20 244 27 91. Once the order has been shipped, we unfortunately cannot make any changes.

The following applies to furniture that we have in stock: ordered today = on your patio within 10 days! We plan our routes as efficiently as possible and you will receive an email with the delivery appointment no later than 2 days before delivery.

It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.

We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.

PAYMENTS

In our webshop you can pay with iDEAL, PayPal, Bancontact, Prepay by bank transfer or cash on delivery.

Please note that bank transfer requires a longer processing time and may take 1-2 business days longer before the order is shipped. It is not possible to pay by bitcoins, credit card or installments.

Of course! Send an e-mail to info@bubalou.nl with the order number and/or your address information so we can look up the order in our system. We will send the invoice by email as soon as possible.

We have no generic discount codes, promotion codes or coupon codes. Products that qualify for discounts can be found our outlet page.

RETURNS

We offer you 14 days of trial seating to experience the real Bubalou feeling! If you regret your purchase you can return the furniture. Furniture from the sample sale may not be returned. For online orders of accessories is a return option of 14 days after receipt of the product if unused and in original packaging.

You may return the accessories free of charge. Return costs for furniture are €65 in the Netherlands (excluding the Wadden Islands).

Returns of purchases from external sales partners can only be returned to the partner in question. To do this, please contact the store where you purchased the item, they will be happy to assist you.

If there is something wrong with the order you received or if (part of) the order is damaged, please contact us at info@bubalou.com. If (part of) your order is damaged, please send clear pictures of the damage so we can help you faster.

PRODUCT SPECIFIC QUESTIONS & MAINTENANCE

Yes, you can. The sofa can stay outside 365 days a year. The body construction of the seating is done with materials that are suitable for outdoor use. For example, the Nosag suspension is not made of steel but of stainless steel, the sheet material is water-resistant and all load-bearing parts of the sofa (where weight is placed on it) are made of beech wood.

The fabric of your Bubalou is waterproof due to the film layer of recycled PET bottles on the backing of the fabric. The top side of the fabric, which you see and feel, is made of Olefin yarn and has a dirt- and water-repellent protective layer. This keeps the sofa feeling nice and combines the benefits of an outdoor fabric with a waterproof layer. The waterproof layer is permanent. The effectiveness of the dirt and water-repellent protective layer can slowly decrease. By re-impregnating the fabric with Bubalou Care textile protector, the fabric can be made dirt- and water-repellent again.

When it rains, the cotton threads of the seams get wet. When the wires are saturated, the excess water will be drained via the water barriers in the bank. If the threads are not yet saturated, a small amount of water can penetrate into the sofa through the seams. This is not a problem and dries up again.

The legs of the Bubalou are made of plastic and, with the exception of the Bubalou Trend, are clamped in the torso. When resistance is exerted against the legs, they separate from the torso, so that no damage occurs to the torso. Once the leg has been released, you can clamp the leg back into the torso. Never slide the elements of the Bubalou if you want to move them, but lift the elements to the new desired location. When placing your Bubalou, ensure that there is always 30-50 cm of space around the seating furniture for ventilation under the elements.

If you use a cover for your Bubalou, there is a chance that your Bubalou will 'suffocate' due to condensation. The banks are then no longer able to breathe. A consequence of this is prints and/or annoying (mold) stains in your fabric. Due to the suffocation, these can no longer be removed, the 'weather' becomes embedded in the fabric. Therefore, do not leave the furniture covered outside, without a cover or other objects on the furniture. If you choose a cover, keep in mind that the warranty for your Bubalou will be void.

Unfortunately, everything changes color under the influence of UV radiation. Also your Bubalou. The fabric used for your Bubalou has a light fastness of 7 on the scale of 8. Despite this, the color of your Bubalou will still change under the influence of UV radiation. If you use a tray for a long period of time on your pouf or leave cushions or plaids on the sofa, then color differences will occur in those places, because no UV radiation gets underneath. "Once a tray (or loose cushions, plaids etc), always a tray" is the motto here. Fortunately, it does not detract from seating comfort.

Your Bubalou has to endure a lot due to the influence of sun, rain and wind and of course also due to the use of the sofa. Bubalou is not a miracle product, it is therefore important to properly maintain your Bubalou.

Your Bubalou during the wet months

If you want to prevent green deposits from adhering to your Bubalou during the wet months in autumn and winter, make sure that the sofa is in a place where little or no algae deposits form (for example indoors or under a canopy). In any case, make sure that the terrace where your Bubalou is placed is clean and algae-free before and after the winter.

If your Bubalou remains outside during autumn and winter, follow the steps below annually to limit the influences from nature as much as possible.

Step 1:
In mid-September, spray the wooden hull structure at the bottom of all elements thoroughly with (household) vinegar. Use a plant sprayer or a Bubalou Care nebulizer for application. Place all elements 10 cm apart, so that the wind can pass easily along the sides of the elements during the humid autumn and winter months.

Step 2:
At the end of November, spray the wooden hull structure at the bottom of all elements again with (household) vinegar. Use a plant sprayer or a Bubalou Care nebulizer for application. Make sure that all surrounding surfaces and sofa upholstery that the vinegar could come into contact with are shielded or taped. Rinsing is not necessary. Then leave all elements 10 cm apart again, so that the wind can pass easily along the sides of the elements during the winter months.

Step 3:
At the beginning of March, spray the fabric of all elements with Bubalou Care green tarnish cleaner. Then, if necessary, clean the sofa further with Bubalou Care stain remover. After using Bubalou Care green tarnish cleaner and/or Bubalou Care stain remover, always treat the elements with Bubalou Care textile protector to restore the dirt and water-repellent protective layer.

Place all elements back together. You are now ready for a wonderful season of enjoying your Bubalou.

How do I clean my Bubalou?
Remove stains immediately. If stains are not removed immediately, permanent damage may occur to your Bubalou. Most stains can be removed with a microfiber cloth and lukewarm water. If the stain is persistent, Bubalou Care stain remover can be used to treat the stain. Rinse the soap residue thoroughly after use. Never use substances for which we do not know the influence on your Bubalou.

Be careful of grease stains and suntan lotion or cream. The fabric of your Bubalou can react directly to fats and oils, causing permanent damage.

NEVER use a high-pressure sprayer!
This sprays your Olefin layer loose from the waterproof PET layer and causes permanent damage to your Bubalou.

Green algae deposits, molds and mushrooms

Algae deposits are a natural process and mainly occur in a temperate maritime climate, with relatively mild winters, mild summers and precipitation throughout the year. Unfortunately we cannot change this.

If your Bubalou is placed in a place where green algae deposits form, your Bubalou will not escape it. So if the deck or terrace turns green due to algae deposits, this will also happen to your Bubalou. Bubalou Care green scale cleaner provides you with a ready-made product with which you can remove algae. You can order the Bubalou Care green tarnish cleaner here.

Because your Bubalou can be left outside all year round, mold, fungi and mushrooms can attach to the sofa. Unfortunately, your Bubalou cannot prevent this. Always check the underside of the seating furniture a few times a year. Mold thrives in an environment where humidity is high and temperatures are low. Mold can therefore adhere to the underside of the seating furniture. Spray the elements at the bottom with (household) vinegar to prevent this as much as possible. This can be done with a plant sprayer or the Bubalou Care nebulizer. Traces of fungi and mushrooms literally arrive in nature. Like fungi, they thrive in an environment where humidity is high and temperatures are low. They can attach to the underside of the Bubalou. When this happens, remove the fungus or mushroom by cutting it away with a knife.

The Bubalou Care green tarnish cleaner
Bubalou Care green deposit cleaner is a very friendly and active cleaning product for removing and preventing green deposits on Bubalou outdoor furniture.

This product is biodegradable and has a neutral pH value, making it not aggressive for the surface. Bubalou Care green deposit cleaner removes green deposits from algae without brushing or scrubbing.

Complaints & warranty

All Bubalou products and their parts have a two-year warranty for private, domestic use. The warranty period commences on the invoice date. The original invoice serves as proof of warranty. The warranty covers construction and material defects that are already present upon delivery.

Excluded from warranty are:


  • damage caused by incorrect use, such as abnormal loads, damage by aggressive substances, sitting on the back or armrests, incorrect maintenance, repairs by parties other than those designated by Bubalou, covering furniture with a cover, incorrect installations, as well as natural properties that belong to the material and damage due to failure to observe the instructions for use or failure to observe them correctly;

  • damage caused by the use of cleaning/protective agents other than Bubalou Care products.

  • defects that can be traced back to normal wear and tear or extreme weather conditions;

  • scratches/cracks due to use;
  • shifts in the cold foam layers of the filling;

  • loose nosag suspension due to point loads, for example by dropping or standing/jumping on the couch;

  • for textiles, less than 3 mm shrinkage per 1 linear meter, incorrect washing and light discolouration, signs of wear and reduced load-bearing capacity and thickness of the filling over time with normal, private use.

If your Bubalou furniture or part thereof should fail due to a manufacturing defect or develop a defect through normal household use, Bubalou will repair the defect, refinish or replace the defective part at its sole discretion.

Replacement
If the model or color is no longer available, Bubalou reserves the right to replace the defective furniture with a comparable product. Any replacement only applies to the defective part or piece of furniture, not to an entire set. Repair, refinishing or replacement will not affect the original warranty period. We use a depreciation period of 6 years

Do you want to claim the warranty or do you have a complaint? Please contact the dealer where you purchased the sofa. Make sure you have the purchase invoice at hand. Preferably email your complaint and immediately send photos of the defect and the purchase invoice in the attachment. This contributes to the speedy handling of your complaint.

It may be that you have a complaint about Bubalou. We find that very annoying and we want, together with our dealers, to give you the best possible service. Quality and service are very important to us. We want you to be satisfied with us and speak with enthusiasm about our assortment, our communication, shipping and our service!
